Three Tails Private Limited | 100 Inspiring Entrepreneurs of India 2023

Archana Das and Aneema Jena have emerged as pioneers with a distinct vision, founding Three Tails Private Limited, a company redefining the landscape of canine nutrition in India.

Archana Das, a seasoned chartered accountant specialized in mergers and acquisitions in the e-commerce and media sectors, stumbled upon entrepreneurship through a twist of fate.  Bira, her beloved dog battling Canine Atopic Dermatitis, became the catalyst for a profound shift. Fuelled by love and determination, Archana undertook extensive research, transforming Bira from a distressed a couch potato to a canine athlete.

Aneema Jena, an architect turned design management professional, embarked on a parallel journey. Her introduction to the world of canine nutrition came through Layla, a spirited dog with selective eating habits. As the COVID pandemic unfolded, Aneema adopted Loki, facing a unique medical condition that demanded a specific diet. Aneema's dedication to crafting personalized meal plans for her dogs sparked a passion for canine nutrition.

The convergence of their paths was not just serendipitous; it was destined. Three Tails was born from the shared love for their dogs, coupled with a mutual realization of the impact they could make in the realm of canine nutrition. The name "Three Tails" serves as an ode to their three remarkable dogs – Bira, Layla, and Loki – whose triumphs not only inspired the company's inception but also symbolize the essence of their journey.

At the heart, Three Tails is a commitment to providing customized, nutritionally balanced fresh meals for dogs. Archana and Aneema have meticulously crafted a business that tailors each meal to the individual needs of dogs, considering factors like age, weight, breed, and medical conditions. The result is a unique offering that stands out in the market.

Their partnership goes beyond a business arrangement, showcasing the beauty of shared dreams and complementary skills. Archana's financial acumen and Aneema's design management expertise seamlessly intertwine, forming a robust foundation for Three Tails' success.

Both founders credit their families and friends for unwavering support. Archana finds strength in her husband, Sudhakar, who continuously reinforces her belief in a purpose beyond the corporate world, while Aneema's husband, Rushil, emerges as her greatest cheerleader,.

The journey of Three Tails has not been without its challenges. Beyond the educational efforts directed at pet parents, the founders highlight the significance of understanding their audience and avoiding assumptions about customer awareness. The importance of building a resilient back-end team and establishing controls and processes has been a pivotal lesson, ensuring sustained growth and operational efficiency.

What inspires them the most is the tangible impact they witness on the lives of dogs and their owners. Beyond the numbers and milestones, the founders derive immense joy from the transformation in the health, energy, and overall well-being of their four-legged customers. Positive feedback from pet parents reinforces the meaningful difference they are making in the world of canine nutrition.

For Three Tails, success is not just a culmination of business achievements. It is measured in every dog transitioned to fresh food, every satisfied pet parent, and every wagging tail. The founders emphasize that success is an ongoing journey, where each positive change is a testament to their commitment to making a real difference.

Archana and Aneema 's advice echoes the words of Theodore Roosevelt: "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." They encourage aspiring entrepreneurs to embrace action in the present moment and use available resources to create a positive impact. Their story serves as a beacon for those navigating the entrepreneurial landscape.

The Three Tails saga is an inspiration for budding entrepreneurs, emphasizing the transformative power of collaboration and the profound impact that can be made in the lives of our cherished animal companions.
