Piyali Toshniwal- The Entrepreneurs of India Magazine

In any creative or service-driven industry—whether you're managing events, building a personal brand, or creating digital content—there will be highs and lows.

Trends change, clients evolve, and outcomes may take

time. But it’s your consistency in quality, professionalism, and learning that builds long-term credibility. Keep showing up, stay true to your purpose,

and continuously refine your work.

Success is not always instant, but it is always earned through persistence and integrity.

From a young age, Piyali Toshniwal found herself mesmerized by the grandeur of big shows, Durga Pujo festivities, and dreamy weddings. She’d often wonder how all the intricate pieces behind such large-scale celebrations came together. Years later, not only did she crack the puzzle, she made it her life’s work. Her very first step into events came unexpectedly—organizing a close friend's wedding in 2010. What started with helping out quickly turned into managing full-scale events, from birthday parties and pujas to fashion shows and pageants. Her knack for detail and strong sense of aesthetics earned her confidence, and eventually, clients.

Piyali’s influence isn’t limited to on-ground events. Back in 2012, she began writing daily beauty blogs—sharing reviews and skincare routines that quickly caught attention. Women loved her honest takes and relatable advice. When Instagram gained momentum, her passion turned visual, and her follower count skyrocketed. Growing from 25K to half a million, she’s now a trusted name in both the events space and influencer circle.

One lesson she’s learned over the years is to never over-promise. In her words, “What you show is what you deliver—that’s the minimum.” The events industry, like any service-based space, is trust driven. If the work fails to match expectations, word travels fast. That’s why Piyali believes in demonstrating her work, inviting clients to actual events to build confidence. “Underpromise, overdeliver” might be a cliché, but it’s still gold.

In the world of influencing, she points out that many micro creators focus more on numbers than on connection. It’s not just about posting; it’s about engaging—commenting back, listening to the audience, asking them what they want to see next. “You’ve got to be on your toes,” she says. “Trends don’t wait.”

Being a businesswoman and a mother means wearing many hats. And while building Radiance Events and her digital presence, family has been her biggest anchor. Her husband has always stood by her professionally. Her parents were her support system when she needed time to work—especially during her son’s early years. Today, her teenager even offers creative suggestions for her content. She believes families can play a massive role in helping new entrepreneurs, especially women, just by being involved and encouraging.

Starting out in this business wasn’t a smooth ride. Resource crunches were constant—whether it was funding, team strength, or access to new technology. But she learned early on that adaptability is everything. You have to plan tightly and keep room for sudden change. Each event and campaign demands precision, and success lies in how well the team handles pressure and surprise situations. It’s not always about doing more—it’s about doing right.

Her journey hasn’t been without major challenges. The biggest one? Keeping up with market shifts. Trends change in a blink, and what was in yesterday might be out by next week. Her way of tackling this is simple—listen, observe, adapt. She puts a lot of emphasis on clear communication with her vendors and collaborators. Everyone involved in a project needs to understand the client’s goals, not just their task list.

Piyali’s work is about creating personalized experiences that stay with people. Whether it's a wedding that brings tears or a reel that sparks a trend, every detail matters. Her business is not about numbers—it’s about memories, moments, and meaningful connection. She is deeply involved in every project, making sure each client walks away satisfied and heard.

What makes this industry so unique to her is how deeply human it is. Behind the glitter and likes are real emotions, real people, real challenges. Each event has a new story. Each post has a fresh purpose. No two days feel the same.

When asked about advice she’d give anyone chasing a creative career, her words are honest and simple: “Stay consistent, even when the results aren’t immediate.” It’s not about being viral. It’s about being valuable. And that kind of value takes time, patience, and heart.

This is not just a career. For Piyali Toshniwal, it’s a life crafted with equal parts vision, hustle, and belief.
