Misha Bhandari- The Entrepreneurs of India Magazine

Misha Bhandari always had an eye for stories, branding, and the creative spark that brings a business to life. Long before she launched Tagged Communications, she was already shaping narratives in the PR world. With more than six years of experience in communications, her path started at a leading agency where she worked closely with big names like Azorte by Reliance and PepsiCo. The experience gave her not just skills but also a deeper understanding of how brands connect with audiences. Later, when she took on the role of Head of Marketing & Communications at Flying Sparrow Hospitality, she noticed something striking. There was a gap between creators, PR professionals, and brands. Being a creator herself, she knew the frustration from both sides. That realization planted the seed for Tagged Communications, a firm designed to bridge these gaps with strategy, storytelling, and measurable results.

For Misha, business is personal. She believes people buy into people, not only products or services. Building genuine connections with clients, media, and creators is what sustains long-term growth. She also reminds entrepreneurs that not everyone is their audience. Chasing universal approval can water down a brand. Her focus is on serving a niche with excellence rather than trying to be everywhere at once.

Her journey was made lighter by the support she received at home. Her family gave her space to take risks, encouraged independence, and believed in her choices even during the uncertain early stages. She credits that support for giving her confidence to experiment and grow. For her, families of budding entrepreneurs can play a crucial role simply by trusting their children’s instincts instead of pushing only conventional definitions of success.

One of the challenges in today’s PR and communications industry is its pace and constant change. Brands are no longer judged only by what they sell. Their reputation, their perception in the digital space, and their ability to connect with communities matter more than ever. For Misha, this makes her field powerful and relevant. Data has started playing as big a role as creativity, with campaigns often judged by both engagement numbers and emotional connection. She thrives in this balance, bringing value to clients who want to stand out in a crowded market.

Behind every professional milestone lies her personal philosophy: don’t wait for permission. She believes opportunities reward those who show up consistently, not only those who plan perfectly. Her advice to young entrepreneurs is simple: “Start before you’re ready, and grow while you build. Your story is your brand, so own it completely.”

Being a creator herself, she knew the frustration from both sides. That realization planted the seed for Tagged Communications, a firm designed to bridge these gaps with strategy, storytelling, and measurable results.

Starting her own firm was not simple. Like many entrepreneurs, Misha began without a large safety net or outside funding. She relied on her network, her vision, and her determination to build something meaningful. Bootstrapping became her way forward, and every new project, every satisfied client, became proof that the risk was worth it. For her, action created clarity. “I used to wait too much for perfect timing. Now I believe you learn only when you start and keep refining,” she reflects. That shift in mindset allowed her to grow faster, and it’s advice she still shares with younger professionals who hesitate to take the first step.

She also learned that people decisions can define the pace of growth. In the rush to expand, it’s easy to hire fast and regret later. Misha stresses that building the right team takes patience. For her, each hire has to connect not only with the skill set but also with the culture and vision of the company. The wrong fit, she says, can unsettle both client relations and the internal environment. Choosing wisely in those moments makes a long-term difference. As Tagged Communications grew, it had to set itself apart in a crowded PR market. Many companies still think of PR as a one-way process focused on press releases. For Misha, that was never enough. She focused on showing clients the power of strategy-led communication, backed by creativity and community engagement. At times, it meant extra effort in educating clients, but the payoff came when campaigns delivered results that could be measured, not just talked about.

Her work style is hands-on. Instead of just delegating, she involves herself in shaping campaigns that create strong impact. Relationship-first service has been her guiding principle, and it brought repeat business along with word-of-mouth referrals. This helped Tagged Communications expand its reach quickly. In just over a year, the company has partnered with more than 100 brands, ranging from One8 Commune and Café De Flora to Fortis Healthcare and even actor Jackie Shroff. With a footprint that covers Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Goa, and Amritsar, the young firm has already carved a strong place in hospitality, lifestyle, and creator-focused brands.
