Surendra Khatana | The Entrepreneurs of India Magazine March 2023

Hailing from a middle-class family, Surendra Khatana,’s desire was not just to make money, but to also create a unique and helpful service that would provide opportunities to talented people who lacked financial resources. After gaining experience in several different fields and learning from their mistakes, he was ready to launch his own business. He created an application called Service on Demand (SoD) Happy You | Happy Us, which aims to provide multiple services in one convenient app. Rather than having to download several different applications for various services, customers can now access everything they need in one place.

He strongly believes that Effective marketing is key for any successful business, and he understands the importance of a well-rounded strategy that includes product/service, price, publicity, prediction, and sustainability. While social media can bring in short-term customers, word-of-mouth referrals and managing customer feedback are vital for long-term success. Though launching a business with a limited budget can be challenging, timely payment and a clear vision helped him overcome obstacles with the support of their family.

“Don’t hesitate and to take the leap. Trying is always better than regretting, and a clear vision and determination can lead to success.” Says Surendra. He conveys that Entrepreneurship isn't solely about financial gain, but about creating something valuable for others. With a clear vision, hard work, and learning from mistakes, success is achievable.
