As a child, I was always fascinated by the idea of entrepreneurship. I dreamed of building my own brand from the ground up and working towards my passion. However, before diving into entrepreneurship, I wanted to gain some industry experience and worked with a startup.
It was during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 that I made the decision to become an entrepreneur. I came across a hand-embroidery artisan who was out of work, and upon researching the handicraft industry in India, I realized that the sector was declining due to a lack of digital literacy. This sparked my journey as an entrepreneur.
Being an entrepreneur is a 24/7 job, and there will always be new challenges to overcome. There are good days and bad days, but the good days, such as reaching new milestones, make it all worth it.
The biggest challenge I faced as an entrepreneur was delegating tasks to a team. It was difficult to let go of control and trust others, but having a team that believes in my vision and the brand made it easier. Building the right team is crucial to the success of any company.
One of my biggest achievements was appearing on a well-known entrepreneurship show. The experience was exciting, overwhelming and gave me a lot to think about.
In conclusion, my message to everyone is to believe in themselves. There will be doubts and bad days, but having faith in one's ability to accomplish their goals is key.
As one of my favorite quotes goes, "You don’t have to love the work, you have to crave the end result so intensely that the work is irrelevant".
