Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur is one of the most acclaimed centers of learning in the world. Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kanpur (E-Cell, IIT Kanpur) is a non-profit organization that aims to teach and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit amongst students, through the conduction of various innovative competitions and events throughout the year.
UPSTART 2022-23 - The Indian Business Model Competition - stands apart from the conventional Start-up Competition and 10-minute pitching. The start-ups go through multiple rounds of screening, which are essentially brainstorming sessions at different levels, and face to face mentoring. Finalists get to develop their ideas and hone their business plans under the mentorship of a panel of mentors.

Nationals will be followed by one on one mentoring and brainstorming sessions for the shortlisted startups who will get to pitch at IIT Kanpur in UpStart Finale, which will be held as a part of ESummit’22, the flagship event of Entrepreneurship Cell, IIT Kanpur.
