Project Udaan Takes Flight: NMFIC Launches Record-Breaking Entrepreneurship Drive with Industry Leaders!

On January 20, 2025, the Narsee Monjee Finance and Investment Cell (NMFIC) hosted the Launch Event for Project Udaan, an ambitious initiative aiming to set a world record for the largest single-day entrepreneurship development drive on February 3, 2025. The event took place at the Small Seminar Hall of the New Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering and was organized in collaboration with the Atal Incubation Centre and Credila as the co-title partner. Project Udaan is designed to equip students with the necessary mindset, tools, and resources to transform their entrepreneurial aspirations into tangible business ventures.

The event was graced by Mr. Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor of Zee Business, who officially launched Project Udaan. In a session moderated by Siddhant Gupta (Founder, SkillsOn), Mr. Singhvi shared insights from his career transition from a Chartered Accountant to a leader in financial journalism. He highlighted India’s growing investment potential in sectors such as financialization, cybersecurity, and renewable energy, emphasizing the need for continuous learning and a strategic approach to wealth creation through entrepreneurship or disciplined investing.

Additionally, a panel discussion on “The Evolution of Start-up Culture” featured distinguished speakers Avik Ashar (Principal, Artha Venture Fund) and Saurav Dash (Regional Business Head, Credila). They provided in-depth insights into the start-up ecosystem, engaged with the audience, and shared valuable resources for aspiring entrepreneurs.

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 300 attendees, demonstrating strong enthusiasm for entrepreneurship. The successful launch set a strong foundation for the upcoming world record attempt, positioning Project Udaan as a transformative initiative fostering entrepreneurial growth and innovation among students.
