Harini Mehta grew up in Mumbai in a home where creativity was part of everyday life. Surrounded by a family that valued independent thinking, she naturally gravitated toward storytelling, design, and communication. Her early interests shaped her path—she always knew she was meant to create. Her professional and academic life stayed close to these roots, and over time, she built a strong skill set combining content writing, visual storytelling, and digital media.
Her entrepreneurial journey didn’t begin with a grand plan—it started in the quiet chaos of the lockdown. Freelancing during that period helped her discover how much she loved building brands and creating strategies. What began as small freelance projects slowly took shape into something bigger. “It was never about a title for me. I just wanted the freedom to build something of my own,” she says. It wasn’t until July 2023 that she officially launched HMC, after working as a Senior Content Writer for several years.
The idea came together naturally. Harini noticed that many brands, especially smaller ones, were struggling to tell their story well. They needed consistent content, visual identity, and a voice that connected with audiences. She started filling that gap, one project at a time. Over time, the work snowballed.
Building everything on her own came with its share of hurdles. Juggling creative work, operations, and client communications wasn’t easy. Getting bigger clients to trust a solo creator was tough in the beginning. But she learned with each challenge, and every project became a step forward.

Recognition followed not long after. Her story featured on "Humans of Bombay" was a proud moment, but it was the press feature in The Khaleej Times that made her feel like she had truly arrived. Another special milestone was designing and launching HMC’s very own stationery kit—a product that’s as personal as it is creative.
Today, HMC handles full-scale social media management, content, branding, and even niche projects like designing custom playing cards. The growth has been steady, and Harini is now looking to expand her team and take on more clients who value creativity and honesty.
One of her clients once said, “Harini can figure out anything,” and that line has stuck with her ever since. Maybe that’s her real superpower.
Her advice for anyone starting up? Keep things simple, start small, and trust your voice.

Congratulations Harini ✨ you go girl💛
