Kaamna Datwani Builds Business Success Through Human Centered Leadership

At 63, Souls of Styles founder Kaamna Datwani carries a story that quietly breaks many stereotypes attached to age, business, and second beginnings. What started 11 years ago as a small step taken by a housewife slowly turned into a respected name in the beauty and wellness space. Her journey was not built on glamour or instant success. It grew through consistency, trust, and a genuine desire to make people feel confident in their own skin.

Kaamna entered the salon business at a stage in life when many people hesitate to start something new. She had no background in the beauty industry, no large setup waiting for her, and no shortcut into the business. What she had was curiosity, patience, and a belief that beauty should never make someone feel insecure. “Every person deserves to feel beautiful, not made to feel otherwise,” she says, a thought that still shapes the culture inside her salon today.

Over the years, Souls of Styles expanded far beyond regular salon services. The salon now offers hair, skin, and nail care along with bridal and pre bridal services. As trends changed and clients became more aware of advanced skincare, Kaamna kept learning and adding newer treatments to the salon. Hydrafacial, facial cosmetology, laser treatments, and Korean beauty services became part of the salon’s growing identity. Cosmetic services were also introduced to match modern beauty expectations while still keeping the experience warm and personal.

The beauty and wellness industry can be fiercely competitive, especially for independent salon owners trying to build long term trust. Kaamna understood early that technical skills alone would not keep clients coming back. Human connection mattered more. She spent years building relationships with people who walked into her salon, listening to their concerns, understanding their preferences, and creating comfort beyond the service itself.

That emotional connection slowly became one of the strongest reasons behind client loyalty at Souls of Styles. Many customers who first entered the salon years ago still continue their journey with the brand today. For Kaamna, every client carries a story, and she believes beauty services should never feel transactional. “When clients feel valued and understood, they become part of your journey,” she says.

Family also played a major role in helping her take those first difficult steps. Kaamna often speaks about the encouragement she received from her husband and children during the early years of the business. Their faith gave her confidence during moments of uncertainty. Starting a business later in life came with pressure, self doubt, and constant learning. Still, she kept going, slowly building her own identity outside household responsibilities.

Her story connects with many women who pause their ambitions due to family responsibilities or fear of starting late. Kaamna’s journey sends a quiet but powerful message that age does not decide ambition. Passion and discipline can begin at any stage of life. Even after spending years as a homemaker, she entered an unfamiliar industry and created something meaningful through patience and consistency.

The salon industry itself has changed rapidly over the last decade. Trends shift quickly, treatments evolve fast, and customer expectations keep rising. Kaamna adapted by staying open to learning rather than resisting change. She continued attending workshops, understanding new beauty treatments, and keeping her salon updated with what clients wanted. This willingness to grow helped Souls of Styles stay relevant in a crowded beauty market.

Her biggest lesson as an entrepreneur remains simple. Skills can always improve with time, but the way people are treated leaves the strongest impression. In an age where businesses often chase numbers and visibility, Kaamna still believes personal connection carries more value than aggressive marketing. That belief became the soul behind the salon’s reputation.

Today, Souls of Styles stands as more than just a beauty salon. It reflects years of dedication, relationships, trust, and quiet hard work. Kaamna Datwani’s journey is not about overnight success or flashy headlines. It is about starting late and still succeeding. It is about believing that confidence can be created through kindness as much as beauty treatments. Most importantly, it is proof that sometimes the strongest businesses are built not from experience, but from sincerity and the courage to begin.
