Darshan S Raj, a 22-year-old from Bangalore, Karnataka, has been inducted into the World Book of Records. Congratulating him on his remarkable achievement!




The 22-Year-Young boy, Darshan Raj S from Bengaluru, known affectionately as Natya Darshan was Raised in a loving family with Kerala roots, his parents, Sundar Raj and Malathi B, nurtured his talents from a young age. The influence of his grandparents, Narayanan Nair and Radha K, was instrumental—they saw the spark of potential in him, encouraging him to embark on a path that would one day see him celebrated as an artist of great versatility.


“Art isn’t just a profession, it’s the very breath of my existence,” he says. It was this fire that fueled his evolution from Western dance classes to the graceful discipline of Bharathanatyam at the Rudra Institute. There, Darshan’s talent truly bloomed, as he pursued his junior examinations at Natyatharanga Institute, eventually performing in a remarkable number of solo stage performances, TV shows, and even Kannada serials. Over 200 stage performances and appearances on popular channels like DD Chandana, Sankara TV, BTV News, Colours Kannada, Siri Kannada, and Malanadu News became part of his artistic legacy. His boundless versatility has earned him accolades far and wide, culminating in his induction into the World Book of Records on September 16th, 2024—a monumental achievement for a man of just 22 years.





His name does not rest solely in the realms of dance or performance. It carries weight in the hearts of many, thanks to his tireless work as a social worker. Deeply committed to the community, he’s involved with the Rotary Club and the Youth Social Forum (YSF). Darshan's mission goes beyond his personal fame. He’s established the Skanda Dance Academy in Machohalli, where he trains students in two batches, offering free classes to those from underprivileged backgrounds. "Talent, when shared, multiplies joy," he says.


He’s been recognized with numerous awards, including the State Award in Tumkur (twice), the prestigious Michael Jackson Trophy, Nada Kannada Prasathi, and the Award of Excellence. Named Artist of the Year, his accolades speak volumes of his commitment and unmatched ability. "Every award is not just a recognition; it's a reminder of the responsibility I carry to inspire others," Darshan believes, with each milestone pushing him to greater heights. But his artistry does not end with dance. As a singer, he has released a Kannada song, “Adhya” (Unparalleled), a soulful offering available on multiple platforms. He’s even drawn influence from far beyond Indian borders, immersing himself in the world of Spanish music, further adding to his diverse repertoire. His multifaceted career as an actor, model, singer, and choreographer paints a picture of an individual who’s not merely following the path set before him, but creating his own.


His dreams transcend borders, as he aspires to expand his dance academy globally, influencing lives through the power of art. "Do good, be good" is his simple, yet profound mantra.
