Chakkaravarthy R.K: Helping Students Look Beyond Marks to Find the Right Path

It started with a stack of marksheets and a boy who did not know what to do next. Chakkaravarthy R.K grew up in a financially humble family in Neyveli. After completing his 12th standard, he faced the uncertainty familiar to thousands of students: which course to choose, which stream to follow and what career might suit him.

Like many students, marks became the easiest answer. Yet nobody had stopped to ask the questions that mattered most: Who am I? What are my strengths? What genuinely interests me? What kind of future fits me? That experience stayed with him and gradually became the purpose behind his work.

Today, Chakkaravarthy is an internationally recognised Life Coach and Counselling Practitioner and founder of Feathers Life Coach and Counselling in Neyveli, Cuddalore With more than six years of experience and over 1,000 counselling and coaching sessions, he works with students who need clarity before making decisions that can shape their lives.

Student counselling led naturally to career guidance, while memory coaching became another important part of his work. His services also include individual coaching, soft skills training for schools and colleges, teacher training, parenting programs and workplace stress management. These programs are delivered online and in person across schools, colleges and organisations.

His work looks beyond the student alone. Career confusion can create pressure across an entire family, so his approach also includes parents, educators and institutions. He wants students to build communication, confidence, interpersonal abilities and self understanding alongside academic knowledge.

At the centre of his philosophy is a simple belief: “Your marks are just one page of your story, not the whole book.” For Chakkaravarthy, those words connect his professional work with his own experience of standing uncertain before his future.

His vision is to make student counselling, career guidance, memory coaching and life skills development a regular part of student life rather than something sought only when problems arise. His journey is ultimately about closing the gap he once experienced himself and helping ensure that a student’s future is not decided by a marksheet alone.
