Anshul Gupta: Building the Accountable AI Framework for Responsible AI at Work

Anshul Gupta’s journey into entrepreneurship began with a question that refused to leave him alone. He watched people he admired build things around problems others had overlooked, and wondered what it felt like to take responsibility for fixing something that had no clear answer. Then AI began appearing across the delivery teams he worked with. One question kept returning: if AI made the decision, who answers when it is wrong?
That unanswered question became the beginning of AgileAiPro and the Accountable AI Framework, known as AAF. The idea came from a simple concern that many team leaders still struggle to answer: if AI gets something wrong in their work, would they actually know? For Anshul, that silence pointed to a gap in the way organisations were using AI at work.
AAF was created to bring clear accountability to AI assisted work. It is designed to work for a five person startup as well as a five hundred person enterprise delivery organisation. The same core structure can also be applied beyond software, including areas such as healthcare, real estate and manufacturing. Anshul has also put the framework into a book, “Who’s Accountable? The AAF Framework for Governing AI at Work,” allowing the idea to reach people beyond direct conversations with him.
The early challenge was not creating the framework. It was explaining why it needed to exist. AI tools and AI training were already familiar terms, but accountability around AI was still a new conversation. Anshul spent months building an understanding around the problem before people were ready to discuss the answer.
His first customers came through questions rather than conventional sales pitches. Asking someone whether they could tell which part of their work had been created by AI often changed the conversation instantly.

Today, AAF certifications are being earned by Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches and other professionals. From AAF Foundation and AAF Practitioner to AAF Trust Lead and AAF Regulated Industries, the certification series gives professionals a way to show their knowledge of accountable AI practices.
Anshul wants AAF to become part of everyday work, without people having to think twice about using it. More than anything, he wants the world to know that an idea built in India can earn its place globally on its own merit.
