Akshay Masurekar: “Coming from a family of lawyers, I did have the option of doing LAW and becoming a part of the legal practice, but I wasn't cut out for that. After my graduation, I remember walking up to my dad with a laundry list of things I could do - Company Secretary, LLB, Course in Travel Tourism, and whatnot
Then in 2002, I got a call from a start-up and had the opportunity to work with them. Today That company is a multinational company with more than 1,000 employees. This job changed my life for good; it made me independent and gave me direction in life. I played various roles in Customer Experience, Business Development, and Human resources.
I realized that the only way to move forward was to chalk out a path for myself. After a lot of research and self-talks, I finally decided to take the leap of faith and move out of the company to focus on helping others find their true purpose in life.
I started my entrepreneurial journey on 19th Aug 2019 with the help of my wife, Samira A
Masurekar, who is also the Co-Founder and Advisor of SAMAKSH. I took up space at WeWork, Andheri (East), and hit the ground running. A few friends and my ex-company were kind enough to send work my way.
My VISION for SAMAKSH is to make India the Wellness Capital of this world. I envision SAMAKSH to be one of the leading players focusing on positively "changing" the world with Wellness.
