Akanksha Sharma reveales her Success-Story of Citta!

Akanksha Sharma: While growing up I wasn’t sure of what I wanted to study but I was sure I wanted to start my own business. I was born in a business house and I’ve heard discussions about the business since I was young enough to talk. There’s a unique thrill and responsibility of being the owner of your venture. I did my bachelor’s in fashion design and apparel management from FIDM, Los Angeles. When in the US I saw multiple baby care brands that made their products with complete transparency and good ingredients, and I realized that India needed the same. Realizing the potential, I took it upon myself to begin my venture soon after I finished college.

I have only started less than a year ago, but every day I see progress. It is as if each day it becomes a little clearer, less hazy but then new challenges and avenues crop up, and then everything restarts. As a young teen, I was diagnosed with arthritis. At that point, I didn’t understand what the disease meant but I was in a lot of pain, and hardly able to walk. I had to take injections and steroid medicines. You can’t cure arthritis but I improved mine by running. I began with just 5 minutes a day in pain, and eventually, I was running for an hour straight. Today, it’s been 3 years since I’ve stopped taking any medicine. Just my efforts and I get better each day.

To Know More about my Company, simply visit Citta My achievements include being a Graduate of Bachelor’s in Creative Industry Studies in 2020 from FIDM Los Angeles, giving a TED Talk in 2020 at Lexicon TEDX, ‘Believe in Yourself’. Was also included in the panel discussion of ‘How and why MSMEs will be the growth catalyst for India to become a $5trillion economy ‘- at the Pune Times Mirror Leadership Awards. I also collaborated with the Gov. of Maharashtra to help provide adequate facilities to underprivileged children. And last but not the least, remember, ‘Belief in Yourself’. It goes a long way.
