Some entrepreneurial journeys begin with a business idea. Others begin with a desire to rediscover oneself. Upasna Gupta’s second innings belongs to the second kind. Today, she is an Image Consultant and founder of Elevate Image with Upasna, working with students, professionals, women, entrepreneurs and influencers on personal image, communication, confidence and professional presence.

Her journey, though, began much earlier. During her college years at DAV College, Amritsar, Upasna served as President of the All India Youth Association. Those years taught her leadership, communication, responsibility and how to connect with people. Her community service continued with Innerwheel Club Batala Midtown, where she served as Secretary and later President.
Family then became her priority. As her children grew up, she chose to give them her time and attention, stepping away from several professional and social pursuits. She never considered it a sacrifice. It was a choice made with love. As her children became independent, something within her began to stir again. Her husband and children also encouraged her to start a new chapter.

After 40, she stopped asking, “Is it too late?” and began asking, “If not now, then when?” Her interest in fashion, personality, communication and the psychology of personal perception led her towards image consulting.
Starting again meant learning new things, creating content, understanding the digital world and building a presence in a field that was professionally new to her. Yet Upasna soon understood that she was not really beginning from zero. Leadership had taught her communication, social service had taught her empathy, motherhood had taught her patience, and life had taught her resilience.

Through Elevate Image with Upasna, she conducts image consulting sessions and workshops in schools, colleges and educational institutes. Her work covers personal styling, grooming, personality development, communication, body language, confidence, personal branding, dining etiquette and professional presence. She also works with influencers and personal brands on styling and overall image.
For Upasna, image consulting is not about making someone look like somebody else. It is about helping people understand who they are and how they want to be perceived.
Her message to women beginning again is simple: life does not have an expiry date. Her second innings is not about leaving behind her identity as a wife or mother. It is about adding another dimension to the woman she has always been.
