Aakash Maranna Puva - The Entrepreneurs of India Magazine

Aakash grew up in the suburbs of South Mumbai, shaped by a childhood filled with curiosity and a constant urge to learn. With South Indian roots and a home that valued effort above everything else, he carried a sense of drive that stayed with him from his school days. He began working in local stores at fifteen while studying for his SSC exams, wondering how he would manage his college fees. Those early years built a sense of hunger and grit that later pushed him toward business. He often recalls thinking, if ambition and courage are in place, the path will appear sooner or later. That belief sat quietly with him even when he stepped into the corporate world.

During his time as a business developer at Balaji Safety Projects in Masjid Bunder, he noticed gaps that bothered him. Clients wanted organized solutions but rarely found them in one place. This observation stayed with him long enough for an idea to spark. He left his job and started experimenting with different concepts, some of which did not work, but each added a bit of strength. He says, many attempts failed but now I feel we are working on something that will change the game. This phase of trial and error opened his way toward sports construction and netting, a sector growing quickly across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

Netx Netting Solutions came from those early ideas and soon turned into his full time pursuit. The company is now known for planning, designing, and building sports setups that support performance and safety. Over six years, they completed more than twenty projects across Mumbai and Navi Mumbai and grew through steady word of mouth.

Aakash believes the rise of sports and fitness in the city created room for well made courts, turf grounds, and training spaces. His goal is to expand these facilities across more regions so that more people have access to structured sports and fitness activity.

The journey brought its share of trouble. Finances were the biggest hurdle in the beginning. Cash flow was irregular and there was no clear system in place. Building the right team and finding dependable resources was another major worry. Aakash slowly worked through it by forming strong industry connections. People he met in the same field gave him guidance, timely advice, and access to the right manpower. He learned the importance of maintaining steady money flow, clear communication with vendors, and long term working relationships. Over time, these habits gave his company a sense of balance.

His largest achievement till date is not an award or a project but the trust he has earned from his clients. Many refer him without thinking twice and he believes nothing is bigger than that kind of confidence. On the work side, he speaks proudly about upcoming assignments lined up with industrial giants and sees that as another step in the right direction. He often says, trust keeps the business moving even in tough days.

Aakash also speaks openly about mistakes. He admits that he once depended too much on others to fix issues in the company and later realised that ownership is the only way forward. He advises young entrepreneurs to take responsibility the moment they notice a problem. The second lesson he holds close is the need to keep learning. He believes one must go deep into their field till no one can outrun them in knowledge.

He shares a simple view on working with people as well. Be valuable to other businesses and be transparent with your own team. According to him, support brings trust and trust brings opportunities. Open communication within the team keeps confusion away and makes the work smoother.

Today, Netx Netting Solutions is seen as a growing name in sports construction in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai. The company blends engineering detail with sports specific knowledge to create safe and durable facilities. Aakash feels the field is unique because it requires customized planning and careful execution for every site. Each project demands a different layout and flow, whether it is a turf ground or a multi sport court.

He believes his work adds something positive to the community by opening more opportunities, building new skill sets, and encouraging sportsmanship. His final message for anyone beginning a similar journey stays simple. Start small, aim high, manifest till the end, stay consistent and the results will come your way.
