Best place for new freelancers to start
Signed up on a few freelance sites and quickly realized that without any reviews or history, nobody even looks at your profile. You are buried under hundreds of established sellers with thousands of reviews. Feels like you need to already have clients just to get clients. For people who managed to break through that wall, where did you actually start? Was there a platform that made it easier for complete beginners to get that first order without already having a reputation? Would love to hear what worked for others.

I broke through that wall by completely changing where I was looking. The big platforms were impossible to get noticed on. So I found a smaller site that actually promotes new sellers instead of burying them. A good freelance marketplace for beginners should give you a fighting chance instead of dropping you into a sea of thousands of established freelancers. This one had small gigs that let me build reviews fast because buyers were willing to take a chance on a cheap test order. I did a few of those, got my first reviews, and then started getting more serious work. It still took effort but at least the platform gave me a real shot instead of just ignoring me.
