I’ve had better luck once I stopped treating listings like a phone book and more like a filter. I usually check how detailed the profile is, what services they focus on, and whether they seem active locally. I also pay attention to consistency — if their description, reviews, and communication all line up, that’s usually a good sign. It doesn’t guarantee perfection, but it lowers the risk a lot.
